I live in zone 7b/8, B'ham,Al. Can I store my plant food for house plants and my garden fertilizer outdoors in a wooden shed?

As long as you keep them in an airtight container, they should be okay. If the shed is unheated, you might want to store them in a closet indoors instead. Check the package label for minimum storage temperatures just to make sure.
