grass seed - Knowledgebase Question

i just put down some grass seed? is this pointless due to fall season or is there a chance this could work out? also i put hay on top to protect some also

It may be a little late in the season to overseed but if the weather holds, the seeds should germinate in about 2 weeks. Those that do not sprout will probably sprout in the spring. Just be sure to keep the area moist by watering several times a day (unless, of course, it rains). By next spring you'll know how successful your venture was. Hope you have a lush green lawn in the spring!
