I have tried to grow Gardenias here before. They are my favorite flower. I had great luck with them in Georgia but not so much in Florida. What am I doing wrong?

Be sure to select the common Gardenia jasminoides and plant it in a spot that gets morning sun but shade from hot afternoon sunshine. Since gardenias like acidic soils, amend the planting soil with peat moss before backfilling when you are planting. Provide adequate water - enough to keep the soil moist but not soggy wet. Hope this information helps!
