Is it too late to plant Stonecrop/Sedum now?

You can plant sedums now and they should establish quickly and grow nicely next spring. It's too late to pinch your mums to make them fuller, but you can certainly remove the dead flowers by pinching them off. Next spring and summer you can tip pinch your mums on a regular basis to promote a full and bushy plant with lots of flowers.
