| Burpee does sell bulbs. Check out their fall catalog (1-800-888-1447) for spring flowering bulbs and spruing catalog for summer flowering bulbs. No bulb will bloom all summer, but by planting a number of different bulbs you can have a continuous blooming period. The other problem is the North side of the house. Bulbs generally like full sun to bloom the best. For bulbs for shade I'd suggest violets and windlfowers for spring bloom. For summer try growing caladiums. The foliage is colorful. However, you'll have to dig them up and replant in spring in your area. |
