When to cut back hydrangas - Knowledgebase Question

When is thte best time to cut back hydrangas, and how do you go about it? Thank you very much. Jody Magee

Don't prune your hydrangeas at this time; wait until spring when new growth begins and then prune out anything that died back during the winter months. You can also shorten the stems to keep the plants under control. Prune them back by about one-third and they should grow and bloom nicely for you.
