|Boxwoods are normally winter hardy in your growing region. If your boxwood is newly planted, you can mulch around the base of the plant and set up a temporary wind screen by driving a couple of stakes in the ground on the wind-exposed side and securing some burlap or row cover material onto the stakes to help redirect icy winter winds. Best wishes with your boxwoods.
