i asked about this before but didnt ask the right questions. i have brought in my 2' banana and it's on my desk, it's in a 10

Propagation of bananas is done with rhizomes called suckers or pups. Very small pups are called buttons. Large suckers, such as those you describe, are the preferred planting material. These can be removed from the mother plant and potted up on their own. You will need to cut them away from the mother plant, making sure each pup has its own roots attached.
