How do we determine the type of holly plant we purchased from Home Depot as it had no tag or care card in the container. How do we plant and care for this plant?

The most popular hollies, and those that grow best in Arizona are: Burford Holly, Ilex cornuta; Carissa Holly, Ilex cornuta 'Carissa'; and Dwarf Chinese Holly, Ilex cornuta. Without seeing your plant, I can't really identify it, but you can do a web search on the above plants and compare them to yours. Hollies are quite adapatable and will grow in full sun or partial sunshine in average, well draining soil. Water yours weekly during the coolest months of the year and 2-3 times a week when the weather gets hot. Best wishes with your holly!
