Some types of fig trees will not produce in Florida because of the absence of a special fig wasp (Blastophaga psenes), needed for pollination. If you want fruit, plant a fig type that does not require pollination from this wasp. Celeste, Brown Turkey, Magnolia and Green Ischia are good varieties for Florida.
