Both spring flower and summer flowering bulbs can be planted in December in your gardening region. Some spring flowering bulbs need a winter chill before they will bloom. Tulips are one example. If you want to grow tulips you should purchase them in September when they first come on the market and store them in your refrigerator until late December. Plant in late December and they will bloom beautifully for you. Not all spring bulbs require a chilling period so check to see which bulbs you have and do a little research as to whether or not they need a chill period. Best wishes with your bulbs.
