the bottom part of my dwarf alberta spruce's needles appear brown. Is it normal? Otherwise, any cure? Thanks. |
I can't tell without physically inspecting the tree, but if the rest of the tree looks healthy and it put out new growth over the summer months, the dying lower branches may be normal. If the entire plant looks sickly and the browning continues to move to the upper branches, there may be a root rot problem. I hope what you are seeing is just normal needle shedding. Best wishes with your spruce. |
