I am in zone 8. Is it too late to plant lady fern? I have been stored for 2 mos. in the bin in the refrigerator. No time to plant. They are bare roots. The low will be 30 on Sat. Should I just plant them in a pot and keep them inside?

If your weather is cold, you can go ahead and plant the rhizomes out in your garden. Don't expect to see anything sprout until next spring, though. Lady Fern is hardy to your winter weather and since you've had them in the refrigerator, they should be used to the cold temperatures so planting them now won't hurt them. I'd get them in the ground soon, though. Best wishes with your garden.
