|Ornamental grasses are very fast growing and you can mix and match Miscanthus floridulus (grows 8-12 ft tall), Spartina pectinata (I am sure that you have seen this grass. New York state uses it on highways, and it grows 6-8 feet with little care.) Cortaderia selloana is another ornamental grass to consider. Make sure you check plant names and height when shopping. There is a lot of variation in grass height with grasses that look alike, but are different varieties and species. You can plant some lower growing perennials in front of and beside your ornamental grasses to have variety in your landscape. Enjoy!
