I planted some bulbs (at proper depth) in Oct which then started to sprout in Nov. Will this harm them? I live in MidAtlantic Zone 6

Premature growth isn't all that unusual. The bulbs got warm and thought it was spring. As soon as the weather turns cold again they will stop growing and will sit patiently through the winter weather before resuming growth in the spring. Wait until the weather gets cold, then mulch with several inches of bark mulch, straw, pine needles, etc. to keep the ground frozen, which will keep the bulbs from pushing up during thaws. Your bulbs should bloom right on time. Enjoy!
