The Hollywood Juniper is a cultivated variety originating in Japan. It is hardy to zones 3-9 and is a conifer that grows to a height of 25 feet and 15 feet wide.
You can keep yours smaller with annual pruning and if you prune lightly each year, you can keep it much smaller. It is a moderately growing shrub and you will probably be safe in taking off about 6 inches of growth each spring to keep it looking full and dense, and to keep it under 15 feet tall and wide. With this in mind, you won't have to move your shrub. If you don't think you'll be able to prune it annually, you probably should move it to a less obstructed spot in your landscape. Whatever you decide, enjoy your Hollywood juniper!
