Some plants to consider include LITTLE GEM NORWAY SPRUCE (Picea abies 'Little Gem'). It has rich green needles on crowded branches form a dense, flat topped globe. This dwarf evergreen conifer requires practically no maintenance. Extremely slow grower forming a compact head 18 inches in diameter. You might also consider DWARF SERBIAN SPRUCE (Picea omorika 'Nana'); Dwarf evergreen shrub becomes a low globe-like mound. The Patio Tree form can become a 3 to 4 feet globe atop the 3 foot trunk. Glossy blue-green needles have prominent white bands on the undersides. Full sun. Slow grower to 7 to 9 feet tall and as wide. Hope these suggestions are helpful. Best wishes with your new plants!
