I need to control slugs but I have dogs that will eat whatever I put down on the ground. The slugs that I am seeing are the size of my small finger and appear to be buried(?). What do you suggest?
Thanks
Andrea

You can set up traps by inverting terra cotta pots in your garden, propping up one side with a stick or rock. Slugs will crawl in because it's moist and dark. Every morning you can scrape them out and reset the traps. Or you can sprinkle one of the iron based slug control products (such as Sluggo). These baits are harmless to people, pets and wildlife. Best wishes with your garden!
