We have a new 'Gran Nain Banana' tree that was doing great. Grew about 2 ft this year. Dallas, Tx
weather hit 24 deg. Tree looks dead. Is it ?

Probably only the top is dead. You can remove the dead stalk at ground level and then mulch over the roots of the plant. This should help protect the roots over the winter months and your plant should send up a healthy new stalk in the spring when the weather warms. Best wishes with your banana tree!
