My pansies are not blooming very much. Should I fertilize this time of year? and with what? They were planted in Oct & fertilized at that time. I have a dog so would prefer not to use granular fertilizer. Lots of rain here in Atlanta, but I see them blooming elsewhere around town.

You can feed your pansies about every 5-6 weeks. If you are concerned about granular fertilizer, I'd suggest a liquid feed such as Miracle Gro. A little sun, some good soil and periodic feeding should help your pansies perform well. You might try pinching out the very tips of each stem to encourage a bushy appearance and (hopefully) some flowers. Good luck with your pansies.
