|My yucca plant is starting to show a clumpy, white substance on its leaves. At first I thought it was just dust by when I wiped some off it felt different. Should I be concerned or just continue to keep it wiped off?

|I can't tell from your description whether your yucca is developing a fungal disease called powdery mildew (a white powdery substance on the leaves) or if it has a population of mealybugs (cottony looking spots). Neither is good for your plant. You might want to look at the problem areas with a handlens to see if you can determine just what the problem might be. Wish I could offer more help!
