we have a small creek behind us. depending on the weather it goes from deep mud to 5 feet deep. the bank goes from triming with weed wacker to being washed away by water. in the last year we have had three trees go in. what can I us to make it look nice and prevent further erosion?

Many plants have extensive root systems which hold soil in place and the following are tolerant of moist places: Dichondra (very low maintenance), Partridge berry (Mitchella repens), or Tripsacum floridana (Florida Gama Grass). These plants will help slow soil erosion and you can use your weed wacker if they grow too high. Hope this information helps!
