Winter is not the best time to plant mondo grass or lay sod. Frosty weather and snow can slow root establishment. Mondo is frost hardy, but may show some damage if the weather is harsh. If you have the choice, hold off on ordering your plants and sod. If you have no choice in the matter, go ahead and plant - then keep your fingers crossed that everything can root well. Good luck with your landscape!
