The leaf color on your strawberry plants does not indicate ripeness in the berries. Sometimes the leaves change from deep green to reddish if the weather is cold. The berries can be harvested when they are red (no white or green areas at all). They can ripen quickly so watch them carefully and pick when they are completely red all over. Enjoy!
