| Sounds like this is the first time you've grown strawberries. Here's how they grow: the plants will develop white flowers and if the flowers are pollinated by insects, the petals will fall off the flower and the center of the flower will develop into a strawberry. It will start out green and will enlarge. Once it has grown large enough it will begin to turn from green to red. When the berry is completely red with no green or white parts, it is fully ripe and ready to pick. Hope this clarifies things for you! |
