Bugs in Broccoli - Knowledgebase Question

My beautiful heads of broccoli are infested with small black bugs. Even after soaking the broccoli in salt water before steaming, I found numerous bugs still inside the florets. Any suggestions to drive them out? They are not walking around on the outside of the heads at all. They are nestled inside the florets. Thanks in advance. Chris

I'm afraid those little insects are just part of growing broccolli organically. You can usually soak the florets in salt water (or vinegar water) for about 15 minutes, then use a forceful spray of water from the faucet to dislodge any hangers-on. Wish I had more solutions for you!
