|Hello, I live in Zone 9, and would love to know about the seeds of a Acer Maple Tree. It says that the hardiness of the plant is Z5-8 can the seeds be started, and grow in my zone(9)?

|Most maple trees will grow in zone 9. The red maples perform best in Florida but you can certainly try any other maple. Soak the seeds in hot (not boiling) for a few hours to help soften the seed coating and then plant them in moist potting soil. Keep the potting soil moist (never let it dry out) and viable seeds will sprout in 60 to 120 days. Good luck with your project!
