I saw an ad on craiglist selling pearl premium grass seed. I know next to nothing about lawns or gardening. I was wondering what are the pros and cons of this type of grass. Would you recommend it. Thanks!

Pearl?s Premium grass seed is a blend of five native fescue grasses, specially selected for certain properties, such as repelling insects, ability to spread, etc. and geared for cool climates. I think your summer weather is just too hot for this grass type to grow well. Instead, I'd recommend bermuda grass for your lawn. It can take the heat and although it will brown out in the fall and winter, you can overseed in October with perennial ryegrass. It will green up while the bermuda is resting and it will die out in April when the bermuda greens up again. Best wishes with your lawn!
