|Curcuma grows from rhizomes and in the fall the plants go dormant. When all the leaves die off just clip them off at soil level. In the spring they will resprout and will bloom in the summer. You can prune off the flowers when they are spent, but leave the foliage alone until it dies back on its own. At that time you can cut it off at ground level and allow the rhizomes to rest until the following spring. Hope this answers your question!
