There's a product called Grubex that does a good job in controlling the pests. Be sure to apply according to label directions. Spider mites typically populate dry, dusty places. You can usually discourage them by hosing your plants off on a regular basis, directing the spray towards the undersides of the leaves and stems. Moss is usually a symptom of poorly draining soils, too much shade, and acidic soils. Cultivating the soil around your plants will help improve drainage and compaction; using a power washer to remove the moss from driveways and sidewalks is the most effective, least toxic approach. Good luck with your project~
