Two different plants are commonly called tea tree: Leptospermum Laevigatum and Camellia sinensis. Either plant is relatively easy to grow. Leptospermum Laevigatum grows best in full sunshine; camellia in morning sun and afternoon shade. Both need rich, moist, acidic soils. Hope this information provides some guidance.
