Hello, I'm looking at working on my backyard, and I was thinking of trying to use native plants, and rock in the yard. Do you have suggestions of good native plants for the Oregon region to use.

Thanks,

Joel Marick

What an excellent idea! Native plants are nearly maintenance free once they are established, and they attract local birds, which I think is a bonus. There's an extensive list of trees, shrubs and perennials on the following website:
http://www.plantnative.org/rpl...

All are native to western Oregon and all should be readily available, especially through Master Gardener and Native Plant organization/chapter plant sales.

Best wishes with your new landscape!
