best type of lawn to plant in Longwood, FL. Zoysia? When to plant. Just had drain field replaced so no grass any more on top of it. Want to replace entire front yard.

Zoysia is highly recommended for your region, as are St. Augustine and Bermuda. Of the three, zoysia is the easiest to maintain and does not require quite as much water as the others. March is a great time to plant sprigs or plugs of zoysia. Prepare the planting area well by incorporating some compost into the soil prior to planting. Best wishes with your new turf!
