Repotting isn't difficult but it can be a challenge for one person if the plant is very large. If yours is, you may need to recruit a helper. Choose a container that is one size larger than the container your plant is growing in now. You'll want to use fresh potting soil so use a large bucket or other container to pour the potting soil in and get it nice and moist. Fill the new container about a third full of fresh moistened potting soil. Now comes the fun part! Take a long knife and go all around the inside of the old container, between the potting soil and the container to loosen everything up. Then lay the pot and dracaena on its side and gently coax the plant out of the pot. Be careful not to pull on the plant itself, but work your fingers into the potting soil and pull the rootmass out of the pot. When it is unpotted you can set it in the new container. Add or remove potting soil until the plant is setting at the same level in the new pot as it was in the old one. Once you're satisfied it is sitting just right, fill in around the edges with moistened potting soil and push it down carefully. Then water your plant well to help settle the soil. That's all there is to it. Best wishes with your project!
