I have hyacinths and I submitted a question about storing them until I can plant them. The process you told me about trying to force them to flower by putting in special vases.after this process I won't be able to plant them until october or december of 2010? |
That's correct. Hyacinth bulbs should be planted in the ground in the fall where they can experience cold temperatures. They will develop roots and then foliage and a flower. If your bulbs did not get planted last fall their only hope of survival is if you force them to grow indoors and then plant them out next fall. |
