Leaf spot diseases commonly attack ligustrum. The fungi attack leaves and can cause premature leaf drop. The disease spots are usually light to dark brown with a yellow border. Control measures include destroying infected leaves by cutting or pulling them off the plant, and applying a fungicide. Look for a general purpose garden fungicide and apply according to label directions. Good luck with your plant!
