When should I plant bulbs? If I plant bulbs do I have to pull up my bulbs inorder to plant my annuals?

There are both spring blooming and summer blooming bulbs. Spring blooming bulbs should be planted in the fall and summer blooming bulbs should be planted in the spring. Once you've planted your bulbs you can plant annuals over the top. You won't have to dig the bulbs for several years after they've been planted. About every 4-5 years you'll want to dig and divide them so they are not overcrowded. Hope this clarifies things for you.
