Elephant Heart Plum trees are usually grafted onto semi-dwarf root stock. If so, it will reach about 14' wide at maturity but can be kept smaller with annual pruning. A standard sized tree will reach about 25' in width. Regardless of whether yours is a standard or a semi-dwarf, it will be much too large at maturity to grow in a space only 7 feet from your house. Even if you prune the branches off on that side, you'll have to deal with the root system which might compromise the foundation of your house. I'd move it out into the yard where it has plenty of room to grow.
