|Poinsettias usually don't start sprouting new stems until March but yours sounds like they are ready to grow regardless of what the calendar says. I'd prune all the stems back to make room for the healthy new growth. If you leave the old stems and leaves on, the leaves will eventually fall off and you'll be left with bare stems. I'd prune them back now. Just pretend it's early March - your plants know when to grow so take your cue from them. Enjoy!
