You should be able to tap into your existing system to extend it into other areas of your lawn. You'll want to sketch out your current system and then take some measurements so you'll know what supplies you'll need. You can either do this on plain paper or you can pick up one of the brochures from RainBird or other sprinkler system manufacturers (all are available at Home Depot). The brochures contain a grid and a parts list that you can check off depending upon what type of sprinkler heads you'll need. Once you've done that, take your brochure back to Home Depot and ask a staff member to help you choose the proper supplies. Staff can answer your questions on the spot and help guide you through the process. Good luck with your project!
