I'd like to start vegetables from seed. When would it be a good time to start the seeds and when would it be good time to move the plants outside. Thanks.

We normally start our seeds about 6 weeks prior to planting outside. Cool season veggies (peas, cabbage, lettuces) can be planted outdoors in your region about mid-April. Warm season crops (tomatoes, peppers, etc.) can be planted out in about mid-May. If you'd like a comprehensive planting calendar for every vegetable imaginable, the University of Missouri has an excellent publication which you can download and keep for future reference. Hope you have a terrific veggie garden!
