You can have success with Kentucky Bluegrass, perennial rye, bermuda, St. Augustine, and Red or Tall Fescues. I find that a mixture of grasses makes the best lawn. If you plant Kentucky blue and perennial rye or fescue, you'll have a green lawn most of the year; bermuda and St. Augustine love hot weather so if you plant them, they will brown out during the winter months but will come back strong in the spring when the weather warms. Enjoy your new lawn!
