Crape myrtle blooms on the new growth of the season. If you don't already see flower buds forming, you can prune it back now to encourage lots of new growth and lots of flowers. If you do already see flower buds on the branches, wait until after it has finished flowering and then prune it back. You'll encourage lots of new growth and you may even get a second flush of blooms. Hope so!
