Poinsettia plant - Knowledgebase Question

I've had a poinsettia plant that I have kept growing for the past 3 years. I pride myself in that but all of a sudden the plant is losing leaves. The leaves are turning yellow and dropping. It was very very full and even producing red flowers and now I don't know what to do to keep it going....Please advise.

Yellowing leaves can indicate overwatering or might simply be a natural precursor to its resting period. If you're sure you're not overwatering, you may want to allow the plant to drop its leaves and then prune the stems down to a few inches above soil level. It will rest for a few weeks and then develop healthy new stems and leaves. Good luck with your plant!
