My back yard of my recently purchased home is completely growing with FOX TAILS!!! Last fall I tried raking, digging, tilling and now I have a lovely new crop!!! DANGEROUS to DOGS!! HELP!

The seeds that remained in the ground have found sunlight and that's why you have a whole new crop. Usually a pre-emergent herbicide applied in December or January will stop the seeds from germinating. Since they already have sprouting you'll have to go after them with big guns. Dimension and Barricade are both listed as effective against foxtail (and other) weeds. Apply according to label directions and watch the weeds carefully. If any develop seeds you'll have a whole new population to deal with. Good luck with your eradication project!
