|I want to transplant 5 hydrangia and 1 holly. about 4 feet diam.Do I have to prune them or leave alone?
Weather is cold,St Louis,mo.
Thank You, Lary Ryan
|You don't need to prune the plants prior to digging and transplanting, but you can if they are too large to comfortably handle. Pruning while they are dormant won't hurt them at all. In the spring, when the weather warms, they'll put out healthy new growth. Best wishes with the move!|
