After a Yucca plant blooms, do you cut off stalk before seed pods form, if so why? Also what do you feed the plant?

The flowering stalk of the Yucca can be cut down when the blossoms fade, just to keep the plant looking neat and tidy. Seed production will usually follow flowering; you can allow seeds to form, then collect and plant them, (without harming the original Yucca), or you can remove the stalk before seeds form. Yucca plant are not heavy feeders, but you can fertilize with an 8-8-8 formula in the spring to help encourage new growth of foliage and roots.
