Some of my favorite shade loving perennials include Helleborus x hybridus (Lenten Rose), Hosta, Dryopteris erythrosora (Autumn Fern), Polygonatum odoratum 'Variegatum' (variegated Solomon's Seal), Athyrium nipponicum (Japanese Painted Fern), Adiantum pedatum (Maidenhair Fern), Tricyrtis (Toadlily), Epimedium 'Lilafee' (Barrenwort), Begonia grandis (Hardy Begonia), Phlox divaricata (Woodland Phlox), Asarum (Ginger), Tiarella (Foamflower), Heuchera americana 'Palace Purple' (coral bells), Anemone x hybrida (Japanese Anemone), Aquilegia canadensis (Native Columbine), Saxifraga stolonifera (Strawberry Begonia), Dicentra eximia (Fringed Bleeding Heart), Iris cristata -(Crested Iris), and Astilbe (False Spirea). I hope this short list is helpful. Enjoy your new garden!
