Triangle palm is hardy to 29F; Canary Island Date Palm (pineapple palm) is hardy to 15F. If cold hardiness is the main criteria, I'd go with the pineapple palm tree. As for watering, once the palm is established it should be able to get by with natural rainfall in the summer. If you're leaving for the summer, why not plant your palm in the fall or early winter so it will have at least 6 months of regular watering to become firmly established? Best wishes with your new palm.
