I live in Atlanta, Ga and much of my top soild was washed away in out fall floods, so I need to replace my lawn. I current have fescue and the lawn is shaded. What type of lawn would be best for my situation? |
Fescue is the most shade tolerant of all turfgrasses so I'd stay with that. Depending upon whether there are holes and low spots in the lawn area you may need to bring in some top soil to level everything out. Once you've done that, overseed with fescue and keep the lawn watered well so the seeds can germinate. Eventually the new grass will fill in and you should have a thick, dense turf once again. Best wishes with your project! |
